big ups to brooklyn

I have a confession...I'm not good at sharing. When I find a new, sort-of-under-the-radar design resource... well, I may not be super forthcoming on the who/what/wear. Yes, I have been known LIE to keep my sources for my own. Case in point: my beloved Wyeth bag from Hayden-Harnett. Until now, when asked where I got this rockstar of a bag, I have either replied that it came from a garage sale or Walmart. But, it's time to come clean and [GAG!] share.

Hayden-Harnett is located in Brooklyn, NY and is not very high profile on the Left Coast...yet. It's a matter of time before they blow-up. H-H have been consistently producing bags, small leather goods, and accessories. Now, they're designing apparel. The collections are small but very well edited. 

My newest obsession are the high-waisted shorts. These are so versatile--wear 'em with tights or bare legs. They come in wool and suede [YUM!]. I'm also LOVING the turnlock-fastener military coat with leather shoulder insets and a colorblock sweater dress called Yoko.
So, BIG UPS to Brooklyn--West Coast loves East Coast. xo/jm
