Hi, my name is Joey and I am a poser. Although I am a lover of five-inch platforms and glam vintage gear, the stuff I go to MOST of the time—Monday through Friday, at least—is rather practical and *sigh* functional. Lemme explain.
At work, I must have two things: comfy shoes and a lab coat with deep pockets.
I run up and down several flights of stairs at a large hospital, and I would collapse without my Cole-Haan Mary Janes with the extra-cushiony-comfort Nike sole construction. Or my ballet flats or Frye boots.
As much I would love to rock a silk chiffon caftan, it just won't fit under the lab coat.
Which brings me to my point: how's a girl 'sposed to jeuge up a lab coat?
One answer: Jewelry.
In order of length: Ila&I gold locket, DIY semiprecious-stone
lariat wrap, Miriam Haskell vintage coin necklaces.
The DIY necklace is just a 3-foot long beaded silk thread
[I used turquoise, coral, onyx, peridot, and garnet with gold
spacer beads] with a loop at one end.
The Haskell coins were an eBay victory.

with several links removed because it was frickin' HUGE.
Gold stack rings from Ippolita and vintage
pink sapphire and diamond ring.

I love your functional work wardrobe! Nic
